The Stables Square is open until 17 November, and from 7 December until 5 January 2020. The palace is closed until 2021 due to renovation.

Play palace Het Loo

Always wanted to experience the way princes and princesses play? Come, discover and join in at 'Speelpaleis Het Loo'. Endless climbing fun in the play palace and brave adventures on the horse and in the royal coach. And mum and dad? They’ll be fine enjoying a bite and a drink at the terrace of the Prins Hendrik Garage restaurant nearby.

Paleis Het Loo has a second palace! A made-to-measure playground has been set up especially for the smaller visitors to the palace.  The play palace and the horse and carriage are made from sustainable robinia wood and fit in perfectly with the wooded surroundings.

The play appliances and underground fully satisfy all safety norms and offer enough challenge and space for around 20-25 children, in the 4-12 age category. The playground is only accessible from one side and thus you can easily keep an eye on everything.

And you can enjoy a bite and a drink at the terrace of the Prins Hendrik Garage restaurant nearby. The balcony of Play Palace Het Loo is great for making photographs of your visit to Paleis Het Loo in royal surroundings.

Children are warmly welcome to come and scout ‘Play Palace Het Loo’ themselves!

high tea for children

Paleis Het Loo also offers a wonderful high tea specially for the younger visitors. The children are welcomed with a glass of kids’ champagne, after which the high tea begins with a soup amuse. For children there is an adapted assortment of savoury and sweet treats; of course, these include the mini sandwich and the scone.
