Keep 1.5 meters away from other visitors and our employees.

All our measures

To guarantee the safety of our visitors and employees, a number of choices have been made:

  • Volunteers will not be deployed until at least July 1.
  • The Orange walk is closed. Because this part does not belong to Paleis Het Loo, but to the Het Loo royal estate, there is no safety overview from the museum.
  • The Children's Studio is closed. The 1.5 meter distance cannot be maintained here.
  • There is one-way traffic for the mini presentation Royals, Pets and Animals and the Coach Houses with royal transport.
  • There is no shuttle service available.
  • Mandatory walking routes are indicated where necessary to comply with a 1.5 meter distance. For example for incoming and outgoing visitors.
  • It is only allowed to come to the museum with more than 1 person if there is a group (people who jointly run a household or form a social unit).

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Is there contact between visitors and employees?
Contact between visitors and employees is avoided as much as possible by using e-tickets and parking tickets. If you have questions, we ask you to keep the appropriate distance.
  • Is there extra cleaning?
Yes, our employees are around all day to clean toilets, benches and other touch surfaces. In addition, disinfectant hand gel is available at central locations or hand washing facilities have been realized.
  • How many people are allowed to visit Paleis Het Loo at the same time?
The guidelines for museums are 1 visitor / group per 10 m2. For Paleis Het Loo, this amounts to 1,200 visitors.
  • How do I buy a ticket?
All visitors are mandatory to buy a ticket online at our Dutch website. These are arranged according to arrival times so that we can spread the crowd of visitors.
  • Do I have to print the online tickets?
No that is not necessary. The tickets can be scanned from your smartphone.
  • Where do I buy a parking ticket?
Parking tickets are available at the cash register (contactless payment).
  • I already have free admission, do I have to book a ticket via paleishetloo.nl?
Yes, you need a reservation with arrival time, admission remains free. You can book a € 0 ticket at a desired time via paleishetloo.nl/ticketshop. Please bring your subscription card or free ticket, otherwise the free ticket will not be valid. It concerns the following subscriptions: Museukaart, BankGiro Loterij VIP-kaart, Rembrandt, Vrienden, ICOM or free ticket.
  • Is Paleis Het Loo still accessible for people in a wheelchair?
Yes, we are wheelchair accessible, but due to gravel in the gardens and the lack of the shuttle, we are not wheelchair friendly. Visitors in a wheelchair can book a € 0 ticket in the ticket shop. Escorts need a regular ticket. Wheelchairs are temporarily unavailable.
  • Why do I have to answer additional questions about corona when purchasing tickets?
It is mandatory to ask all visitors about possible complaints about corona. That is for our safety and that of our visitors. If you have (mild) complaints, we would like to welcome you at a later time.

  • Can I change or cancel my purchased tickets?
Unfortunately it is not possible to cancel tickets or change the date. Tickets purchased online are non-refundable, as said in our visitor conditions. If you have booked a € 0 ticket, we kindly ask you to send an e-mail to info@paleishetloo.nl so that we can release the timeslot for other visitors.
  • I already have an online ticket and come with an extra person, can he / she enter at the same time?
Yes, but only if tickets are still available online for that same time. You can only enter the museum with a valid ticket.
  • Can I make a reservation by phone?
Unfortunately it is not possible to make a reservation by phone. Please, order your tickets on our Dutch website.

  • I have forgotten my ICOM card. Can I enter with my 0-euro ticket?
If you have bought a € 0 ticket and you cannot show the pass at the access control, then unfortunately we cannot grant you access. We will ask you to buy a regular ticket.

  • Can I park on the terrain of Paleis Het Loo to visit the palace park?

  • Where can I park my bicycle?
There are two separate bicycle parking spaces at the entrance at Amersfoortseweg; one for visitors of Paleis Het Loo and one for palace park visitors. Palace park visitors can also park their bikes at the avenue from the Naald (for the cattle grid).
